MONEYBALL: Breaking the rules

Moneyball is a film produced by Sony with a script adapted from the book Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game, which described how the manager Billy Beane had to face the loss of his best players and the rebuild his team. As a result, he decided to apply statistical methods to choose the most appropriate players.

However, what is the contribution of this film to business? The film is projected in the metaphor of business strategy based on the premise that in a competitive market, the audacious manager must differentiate himself from his competitors through the optimization of resources and efficient strategies which means “thinking strategically”.

I consider that Moneyball is a modern movie that make us to see outside the box in order to reflect that changing the rules give us opportunities.
